EdgyPro Is Now on the Chrome Web Store: One-Click Install for Edgenuity

October 23, 2026 4 min read EdgyPro Team

For three years the answer to "how do I install EdgyPro?" has been a five-step Tampermonkey walkthrough: add Tampermonkey, turn on Developer Mode, find the "Allow User Scripts" switch, download a file, import it. It worked, but it was the number one reason the menu "didn't show up" for new users. As of today, EdgyPro is an official Chrome Web Store extension. One click, and you're done.

In a nutshell

  • One-click install from the Chrome Web Store: no Tampermonkey, no Developer Mode, no files.
  • Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera on Chromebook, Windows, Mac and Linux.
  • Updates install themselves, both the extension and the EdgyPro script inside it.
  • Same menu, same features, same key. Classic Edgenuity and EdgeEx both supported.
  • Tampermonkey still works and stays available as an advanced option.

Add EdgyPro to Chrome

Free to add. Log into Edgenuity afterwards and the menu appears on the page.

Open the Chrome Web Store

What Changed

The EdgyPro you get is identical: the same draggable menu, Auto Advance, Auto Answers, AI Answers, Essay Writer, themes and privacy tools. What changed is how it gets into your browser.

Switching from Tampermonkey

Already running EdgyPro through Tampermonkey? Switching takes a minute. Your key carries over because it's tied to your Edgenuity account, but some preferences (theme, fonts, Discord webhook and the like) are stored by each install separately, so export them first.

  1. In your current EdgyPro menu, open Customize and press Export; copy the settings code somewhere safe.
  2. Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Open the Tampermonkey dashboard and disable or delete the EdgyPro script. Two copies on one page means two menus and double clicks.
  4. Reload Edgenuity, open Customize → Import in the extension's menu and paste your settings code. Your theme and features come back exactly as you left them.

You don't have to switch. Tampermonkey keeps working and the download page keeps the full instructions under "Advanced". It's just no longer the path we recommend to new users.

What Stays the Same

Why Now

Two reasons. First, Chrome's Allow User Scripts requirement (since Chrome 120) turned a two-minute Tampermonkey install into a support ticket for a lot of students, especially on Chromebooks. Second, Chrome now exposes a proper user-scripts API to extensions, which means we can ship EdgyPro the way it should have shipped all along: as a normal extension that keeps itself up to date.

Chrome Web Store FAQ

Is the EdgyPro Chrome extension free?

The extension itself is free to add. An EdgyPro key is still required to unlock the menu's features, exactly as before. See plans.

Do I need to remove Tampermonkey?

If you install the extension, disable or remove the EdgyPro script in Tampermonkey so two copies don't run at once. Tampermonkey itself can stay installed for your other scripts.

Does the extension work on EdgeEx?

Yes. It runs the same EdgyPro on Classic Edgenuity and EdgeEx.

Does the extension bypass Proctorio?

No. Proctorio can see browser extensions, so EdgyPro pauses on proctored tests. Use the free EdgyOne app on Windows or Mac for those.
